In the present study, a surfactant-free microwave method to prepare of Cu2S nanostructure was used. Cu2S nanostructures, without formation of other phases such as CuS and Cu1.8S, were prepared by using Na2SO3 as a weak reducing agent. The effects of different parameters such as reaction time and microwave power on the morphology and particle size of the products were investigated. In addition, we investigated the control size and morphology of Cu2S nanostructure by hydrochloric acid. The characterization of the as-synthesized Cu2S nanostructures was carried out by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectra (EDS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), photoluminescence (PL), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR).
