The anodic monomer 1,3,5-tris(2-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)methyl)benzene, CzE3B, was electropolymerized on the surface of an ITO coated glass. The optical and electrochemical properties of the poly-CzE3B film were investigated by UV/VIS/NIR spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. Electrochromic characteristics of the polymer film were examined in continuously cyclic scans between colorlessness and dark green. The poly-CzE3B film functioned as an anodic coloring counter electrode in the electrochromic window and intensified coloration of the window throughout the visible region. The electrochromic window based on poly-3,3-dimethy1-3,4-dihydro-2H-thieno [3,4-b][1,4] dioxepine (PProDOT-Me-2) and poly-CzE3B films exhibited a high electrochromic contrast. The large-sized electrochromic window was successfully fabricated. It exhibited optical and electrochemical cyclic stability. Also, the color-switching time of the window was investigated.
