The effective enhancement substrate with fractal-like nano structure was fabricated with silver nanoparticle clusters through electrochemical reduction method. Surface enhanced spectroscopy, including surface enhanced resonance Raman scattering and surface enhanced fluorescence, was detected simultaneously from Rh6G molecules on the prepared substrates. Furthermore, several non-resonant molecules, such as malachite green (MG) and p-aminothiophenol (PATP), were also selected to study the enhanced effect of the fabricated substrate. The simulation results reveal that intense electromagnetic (EM) field distribution were formed in silver fractal nano structure when the external laser beam illuminate on. It shows that the fractal-like substrate is efficient to boost Raman and fluorescence signals, which make the substrate unique for obtaining Raman and fluorescence enhancement simultaneously.
