In the present work the cross-sensitivity of nano-crystalline magnesium zinc ferrite particles as combustible gas sensors are addressed. Pattern recognition techniques are utilized to address the cross sensitivity issue of these sensors. The discrete wavelet transformation feature extraction combined with discriminant factor analysis yield excellent results in differentiating combustible gases.
