The chemiresistor gas sensor devices based on Pani-CIAIPc nanocomposite thin films were prepared by spin coating method from PAni as the base of nanocomposites and CIAIPc (with different concentrations) as second component onto interdigitated electrodes. Gas sensor devices were exposed to 10 ppm of NO2 and it is shown that PAni(+)10%ClAIPc nanocomposite thin films were the best candidate to fabricate NO2 gas sensor. After that, electrical and optical properties of PAni(+)10%CIAIPc thin films were investigated at different temperatures and nanoconnposite exhibited semiconducting and photo-conducting behavior. Then, thin films were exposed to different concentrations of NO2 at 300 and 350 K and sensitivity factor, response, and recovery time were obtained. The sensitivity factor of PAni(+)10%CIAIPc thin films was obtained in the range between 2.4-14.3 versus different concentrations of NO2. Finally, 10 ppm NO2 was mixed to O-2, N-2, CO2 and humidity and introduced to chamber. It is found that PAni(+)10%ClAIPc can be used as NO2 gas mixture sensor except its mixture with humidity.
