The hot band of a continuous cast Al-Mg alloy was cold-rolled to different reductions along the original rolling direction and the original transverse direction, and then annealed at 399 degrees C for 3 h. The effect of the cross-rolling on recrystallization texture was investigated by X-ray diffraction. The cross-rolled sheet appears to be a continuous recrystallization texture transition from the cube component through the {407}< 734 > component to the R component when the cross-rolling reduction increases from 0%, to 91%.
