Synthesis of carbocycles with the fragments of phenylenediamines and their copper(II), cobalt(II), and zinc(II) complexes

Indandione reacts with m-phenylenediaminosulfonic acid or 2,4-diaminophenol to form compounds with phenylenediamine fragment. Complexes of these compounds with copper, cobalt, and zinc were synthesized. IR and UV spectroscopic data are presenred.
