Carrying out the processes of organic electrosynthesis on the industrial scale is associated with the decay in the electrode activity as the main problem. This makes impossible the electrode operation without dismantling every 5-6 months, to say the least. The decrease in the electrode activity, its aging, is usually due to the fact that its surface is blocked by resinous products formed during the electrolysis. The electrode aging was practically ignored in the literature. In addition to the well-known methods of solving this problem, i.e., the use of mediators and ferromagnetic catalysts retained on the cathode by the magnetic field, the particular examples of electrode activation in the course of large-scale electrosynthesis processes are shown which are based on observations of the authors.
