The purpose of this paper is to show how intelligent control can solve real control problems. Several complex control applications are described. Intelligent techniques, in some cases combined with classical controllers, are applied and have been proved successful for these applications. These developments have been carried out by the people of the ISCAR (System Engineering, Control, Automation and Robotics) Research Group, at the Complutense University of Madrid.
