In Lattice-Boltzmann modelling of shallow water flows, an approach for a constant discharge Q(in) at the inflow and a fixed water depth h* at the outflow is proposed in this paper. It maintains the prescribed conditions, meanwhile keeps the variables consistent with those outside the flow domain. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated by two numerical tests: flows in a straight channel and in a divergent channel.
