We report the synthesis of silver nanoparticles using both conventional and ultrasound assisted reduction method. The subsequent studies on the electrical conductivity and rheological properties of nanofluids of silver nanoparticles in distilled water and ethylene glycol as base fluids at different volume fractions and temperatures were done, respectively. An enhancement in viscosity by 26.4% was achieved at 20 degrees C with ethylene glycol as a base fluid at volume fraction of silver nanoparticles of 5%. 3975% increase in the electrical conductivity of silver-distilled water nanaofluid was observed for volume fraction of %2 at 50 degrees C.
