In this article, preparation of polypyrrole/poly (vinyl alcohol) nanocomposite as adsorbents was discussed and the capability of separating nickel from aqueous solution was studied. Batch sorption studies have been carried out to determine the effect of agitation time, adsorbent dose and pH on the removal of nickel by polypyrrole. Two equations, i.e., Lagergren and pseudo-second-order, have been tested to track the kinetics of the removal process. The kinetic data indicated that the adsorption process was controlled by pseudo-second-order equation. The Langmuir and Freundlich are subjected to sorption data to estimate sorption capacity and intensity.
