The crystallization, mechanical properties and heat resistance of beta-iPP were investigated by means of DSC, WAXD, PLM, SEM, mechanical and heat deflection tests. It is revealed that the content of beta crystal of beta-iPP is higher than that of pure iPP, and the content of beta crystal of the core is higher than that of the skin of injection molded specimen. And the spherulitic size in the core of beta-iPP specimen is smaller than that of pure iPP. The tensile strain at break, Izod notched impact strength and HDT of beta-iPP specimens are improved.
