A number of new phenylated polyfluorenes with blue emission are synthesized via the Diels-Alder reaction in chloronaphthalene and supercritical carbon dioxide. It is shown that these polymers are thermally stable. A comparative analysis of their properties shows that a green solvent is a suitable alternative to organic solvents for obtaining phenyl-substituted polyfluorenes via the Diels-Alder reaction.
