Well-defined cyclic poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) is prepared by utilizing an anthracene-thiol-based click reaction combined with reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization and its unique thermal phase transition behaviour is compared to its linear counterpart. This method opens a facile and efficient route for the design of a variety of cyclic polymers.
