A chalcone, 2,3-dimethoxy-4'-gamma,gamma-dimethylallyloxy-2'-hydroxychalcone (1) and an isoflavone, 7-gamma,gamma-dimethylallyloxy-5-hydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavone (2) together with a known flavone, 7-hydroxy-6-rnethoxyflavone (3), a known isoflavone, biochanin A (4) and a known rotenoid, dehydroamorphigenin (5) were isolated from the root bark of Dalbergia sissoo.
