The optical-model potential for the n+Be-9 reaction is obtained by two methods. The first method is from a modification and generalization of previous work [Bonaccorso and Bertsch, Phys. Rev. C 63, 044604 (2001)] and the second is from a dispersive-optical-model fit. The two potentials and also quantities derived from the S matrices used to calculate neutron knockout cross sections are compared.
