Inelastic proton scattering on Be-12 was investigated by microscopic coupled-channel calculations with the theoretical wave function of Be-12 obtained by antisymmetrized molecular dynamics. The experimental angular distribution of the inelastic scattering into Be-12(*)(2(1)(+)) is successfully reproduced by the largely deformed states with dominant sd-shell configuration in the ground band. The radial dependence of the transition density for Be-12(2(1)(+))-> Be-12(0(1)(+)) is quite different between protons and neutrons. It gives significant effects on the relation of the neutron transition strength to the inelastic cross section.
