We have developed a time-dependent approach using the R-matrix basis sets to obtain ejected-electron momentum distributions, and apply it to Ne irradiated by a sequence of two ultrashort light pulses. The approach fully includes the competition between ejection of electrons with different magnetic quantum number m. The momentum distributions show interferences due to the time delay between the two ultrashort pulses. Interferences are also observed in the momentum distributions for emission of the inner 2s electron.
