We present a study of electron momentum density distribution in Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT). The Compton profile measurement is made using 59.54 keV gamma-rays from Am-241 source. In the absence of band structure-based calculations, the experimental data is compared with the Compton profile of graphite and C-60. The results reveal that like C-60 the electron momentum density is more localized in momentum space in MWCNT than graphite. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
