The in-plane and out-of-plane resistivities of La1.6-xNd0.4SrxCuO4 single crystals were measured under magnetic fields up to 8T. It was found that the superconducting transition temperature (T-c(onset)) in the out-of-plane resistivity rho(c) is higher than that of the in-plane rho(ab), and the resistivity anisotropy ratio rho(c)/rho(ab) increases with the enhancement of the static stripe order. This result indicates that the static stripe phase has different effects on the ab-plane and c-axis resistivities. From the study of the upper critical field, one can find that the anisotropy parameter and in-plane coherence length increase with the enhancement of static stripe phase. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V.
