A new formula has been developed to permit calculation of the compressibility factor Z (compression factor) as a function of reduced temperature T(R) and reduced pressure P(R). The formula offers flexibility for estimating compression factor for a wide range of reduced temperatures (T(R) = 1-5) and reduced pressures (P(R) = 0.5-6.5). This correlation provides an accurate and computationally reliable prediction of the compressibility factor Z with an average absolute error of 4.9% for 180 data points.
