A new genus and species of uncertain taxonomic position within the family Encyrtidae (Chalcidoidea), Archencyrtus rasnitsyni gen. et sp. nov., from the Middle Eocene Sakhalin amber is described based on one female. This is the first record of Encyrtidae from the Sakhalin amber. The morphological characteristica of this genus and species and comparison with members of the Recent fauna are given. The new species is the first known fossil Encyrtidae with five funicle segments.
