The electrochemical behavior of a dinuclear arene ruthenium complex containing a zwitterionic bridging ligand and of a hexacationic metalla-prism obtained from the assembly of three dinuclear zwitterion-bridged units and two tridentate panels has been investigated. The encapsulation of coronene in the hydrophobic cavity of the metalla-prism stabilizes the assembly and subsequently modifies the redox potentials of the hexanuclear metalla-prism.
