A palladium-catalyzed reaction of an aryl aryl imidazolylsulfonate with an H-phosphonate diester in the presence of DPPP and (Pr2NEt)-Pr-i is described. The reactions proceed efficiently to generate the corresponding arylphosphonates in good to excellent yields. The advantages of this method include good substrate generality, high efficiency, and experimental ease.
