A proximity coupled wideband graphene patch antenna is proposed for THz applications. Antenna resonates with the closely placed higher order TM1 delta modes (4 <= delta <= 12 or more). The generation of the large number of modes with resonant frequencies close to each other provides the wideband response. The wideband graphene antenna is modeled to obtain the optimum values of physical parameters. The antenna parameters are defined for the impedance matching and tuning of the frequency response. Varying the physical parameters, the antenna response can also be tuned to obtain the multiband response. The proposed antenna enables to achieve 109.25% impedance bandwidth.
