Magnetic photocatalyst nanoparticles with the nanocomposite structures of Fe3O4@TiO2 (FT) and Fe3O4@SiO2@TiO2 (FST) have been prepared by applications of different wet chemical procedures. Various characterization techniques have been utilized to confirm the formation of the core-shell nanoparticles. Then, studying the kinetics of photocatalytic degradation of malachite green (MG) by prepared samples showed that FST sample has superior photocatalytic activity than FT samples. Investigation of the recyclability of prepared samples showed that the high degradation efficiency of 87% could be obtained by the prepared FST nanoparticles after five cycles of utilization.
