All known records of myxomycetes obtained during studies of these organisms carried out on La Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean are reported. The total includes 96 species and infraspecific taxa. Three of the specimens collected on the island could be identified only to genus, and 75 taxa are new records for the island. Seventy-eight species and infraspecific taxa are represented by specimens that fruited under natural conditions in the field, whereas 33 species and infraspecific taxa were obtained from moist chamber cultures. A new species (Diderma aurantiocolumellatum) is described and illustrated, and the data set for La Reunion Island is compared with data sets from several other islands and island groups for which the myxobiota is relatively well known.
