Free-standing 3D macroscopic polyaniline (PANi)-carbon nanotube (CNT)-nickel fiber hybrids have been developed, and they deliver high specific capacitance (725 F g(-1) at 0.5 A g(-1)) and high energy density at high rates (similar to 22 W h kg(-1) at 2000 W kg(-1), based on total electrode mass) with good cyclability.
