A novel planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) for WLAN and WiMAX applications is presented. The proposed antenna with small size of 24 x 3 mm(2). consists of rectangular radiating patch with T-shaped notch and a notched ground plane with rectangular slot which provides a usable fractional bandwidth of 4.95-5.91 GHz.
