In this article, a small triple band monopole antenna fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) is presented. The proposed antenna has been developed for IEEE802.11 wireless local area network applications in three service bands of 2.4-2.48, 5.15-5.35, and 5.725-5.825 GHz. The small monopole has compact dimensions of 14-mm height and 26-mm width. Fed by CPW, it can be integrated with other communication devices easily. The designed antenna is simulated by HFSS software and a good agreement with experimental results is demonstrated. The three operated bandwidths are about 20%, 8%, and 7%.
