Various applications require surfaces with anti-smudge (finger print resistant) characteristics. Examples include electronic touch screens (for example, mobile phones, tablets, computer screens, key pads, and music players), window glass, and textile clothing. An anti-smudge screening apparatus and methodology have been developed. The anti-smudge properties were examined by wiping two artificially contaminated coatings using oil-impregnated microfiber wiping cloth.
