Conjugated microporous polymer (CMP) composed of alternative phenylene and ethynylene units with film and nanotube-like morphologies were synthesized by 1,3,5-triethynylbenzene with 1,4-dibromobenzene and 1,3,5-tribromobenzene with 1,4-diethynylbenzene, respectively. Our work reveals that the morphology of CMP networks is greatly affected by the structure of monomers. We also investigated the wettability of the as-prepared CMP samples and their adsorption performance for organic solvents. The CMP samples show good surface superhydrophobicity and large BET surface area and pore volumes, making them the promising absorbent materials for separation and selective adsorption of organic contaminants or oil spills from water.
