This article examines the technological possibilities for making Al-, Cu-, Si-, and Ni-alloys and high-alloy steels by the Osprey Process: the principle of the process, the equipment, the technology used to form the semifinished product, the properties of the finished product, and areas of application. It is shown that the Osprey Process is superior to conventional refining and powder metallurgy methods in terms of its technical-economic indices.
