Ultrasonic treatment and annealing at 450A degrees C were used to synthesize a finely dispersed (CoBO4)-O-2 catalyst for hydrolysis of the alkaline NaBH4 solution. The specific rate of hydrogen evolution on the obtained catalyst was 16 x 10(3) mL (min g)-(1) at the temperature of 40A degrees C, the calculated activation energy of NaBH4 hydrolysis was 58.57 kJ mol(-1). Current density generated by a H-2-O-2 fuel cell with simultaneous generation of hydrogen peroxide operating on hydrogen fuel obtained in situ by NaBH4 reforming for 2 h at the temperature of 20A degrees C was stable and was 29 mA cm-(2); the current efficiency of (HO2)-O-2 was 97%.
