This research investigates, the fracture mechanics (toughness and energy), at early ages, of polymer concrete made with unsaturated polyester resin as binder. The results indicate that the fracture parameters (toughness and energy) decrease and the brittleness increases with the age of the polymer concrete. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
