Nanocrystalline nickel ferrite has been successfully synthesized through a simple hydrothermal process at 180 degrees C for 10 h. The as-synthesized powders were characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. TEM image and HRTEM image revealed that the as-prepared crystals were well crystallized with grain size distribution from 50 to 80 nm. The magnetic properties were studied by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), it exhibited lower coercivity and higher saturation magnetization which came from high crystallinity and uniform morphologies.
