A simple, efficient and eco-friendly procedure has been developed using tetrabutylammonium chloride as catalyst for the synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromene derivatives in water and solvent-free neat conditions. The present methodology offers several advantages such as excellent yields, short reaction time and environmentally benign milder reaction conditions.
