Novel tannic acid-type organic composite adsorbent (PA316TAS), combined with hydrolyzed and sulfonated tannic acid (TAS) and porous-type strongly basic anion exchange resin (PA316) for simultaneous removal of various types of radionuclides in seawater was synthesized successfully and the adsorption behavior of twelve kinds of radionuclides such as Mn, Co, Sr, etc. on the PA316TAS adsorbents has been studied in several types of seawater in the wide temperature (Temp.=278-333 K) and pH ranges (final pH=1.6-5.9). We have concluded that the PA316TAS adsorbent can selectively and simultaneously remove these metal ions from contaminated seawater.
