The effect of crystallinity and spherulite structure on the properties of Poly(1-butene) (PB-1), including tensile strength, yield strength and flexural modulus, was studied. The results show that isotacticity plays all important role in the spherulitic morphology and mechanical properties. With the increasing in isotacticity, the crystallinity increased and the size of the PB-1 spherulitic crystals decreased, therefore the mechanical properties were enhanced.
