A series of chiral diphosphite ligands bearing sterically congested carborane fragments have been prepared and applied in the Pd-catalyzed allylic amination of 1,3-diphenylallyl acetate with pyrrolidine and di-n-propylamine (up to 83% ee). (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
