Polyaniline-based nanocomposites containing magnetic Li-Ni-La ferrite were synthesized by a conventional in situ chemical oxidation polymerization. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra studies indicated the presence of Li-Ni-La ferrite in the nanocomposites. SEM micrographs showed that the nanocomposites exhibited the quasi-spherical morphology. The magnetic measurements indicated that the tuning of magnetic property of resulting nanocomposites was achieved by controlling La substitution content. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
