The main aim of this work was to precise the liquation phospho-silicate NaCaPO4-SiO2 and NaCaPO4 SiO2-AlPO4 glasses structure. The phenomenon of the liquation was stated on the base of microscopic measurements results analyse. EDX results showed that the small addition of aluminium (5% of AlPO4) causes the characteristic inversion of matrix and inclusions composition. This is the result of unique silicate network elasticity. The structural studies enabled to show the domain structure of glasses. The averaging character of the spectra caused the lack of possibility of separate analyse of the domain and matrix structure. This was the reason of model structure glasses obtaining, corresponding adequately to domain and matrix structure composition. The composition of the model glasses was fixed on the base of EDX measurements. The structural studies of the obtained model glasses enabled to state their domain character. The domain structure is close to that in crystalline materials. The obtaining of hypothetic spectra by adding the matrix and inclusion spectra was the next stage of the work. The good conformability of hypothetic and experimental spectra was shown. This fact confirms that model glasses reconstructs well the structure of matrix and inclusions. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V.
