We report a new hydrogen flame synthesis method to successfully grow graphene on h-BN flakes in 20 seconds without using any catalyst. At the initial stage graphene layers anchored to the ((1) over bar 100) surface plane of the h-BN crystal, and afterwards the graphene grew up beyond substrates to form high electrical conductivity quasi-freestanding nanosheets.
