We discuss the peristaltic motion of a two dimensional Jeffrey fluid in an asymmetric channel under the effects of induced magnetic field and heat transfer. The problem is simplified by using long wave length and low Reynolds approximations. Exact and closed form Adomian solutions are presented. Expressions for the velocity, stream function, magnetic force function, temperature, pressure gradient and pressure rise are computed. The results of pertinent parameters are discussed. Finally, the trapping phenomena for different wave shapes are discussed. It is observed that the pressure rise for sinusoidal wave is less than trapezoidal wave and greater than triangular in a Jeffrey fluid. (C) 2012 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.
