Two new isotopically labeled compounds, (carboxy-13C-3,3-2H2)-7-(2-carboxyethyl)-1,3-dihydro-1-hydroxy-2,1-benzoxaborole (2) and (3-14C)-7-(2-carboxyethyl)-1,3-dihydro-1-hydroxy-2,1-benzoxaborole (3), were designed and synthesized to support the preclinical development studies of a potential new antimalarial agent, 7-(2-carboxyethyl)-1,3-dihydro-1-hydroxy-2,1-benzoxaborole (1).
