In order to improve the performance of NO reductive removal using (NH4)(2)SO3 solution, a mixed solution of Fe(II)EDTA and (NH4)(2)SO3 was chosen as absorbing liquid for strengthening NO absorption in the bubbling reaction tower. The mechanism of NO removal using the mixture solution was analyzed, and the species transformation of Fe(II)EDTA was explored. The effects of pH, reaction temperature, Fe(II)EDTA concentration, concentrations of NO and SO2 on NO removal efficiency were investigated. The NO removal efficiency can exceed 80% under the optimum experimental conditions. (C) 2013 The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry. Published by Elsevier B.V.
