The essential oils of aerial parts of Heracleum rechingeri (flowers, seeds and stems) were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by using GC (retention indices) and GC-MS. Twenty-one components (representing 98.7 %) were characterized for the flowers oil, whereas sixteen components (representing 97.4 %) were the major constituents of stem's oil and four components (representing 99.1 %) were characterized for the seeds oil. The antimicrobial activity of the essential oils was tested against six different bacteria by disc diffusion method and showed maximum inhibitory activity against Gram-positive bacteria, especially against Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus.
