Electrospinning, an electrostatic fiber fabrication technique that is the notable applications includes in tissue engineering, filtration, biosensors, and wound dressing. Highly homogenous and controllable static fields are essential parameter for expected size and shape of fiber. Appropriate geometry should be chosen for a very homogeneous thickness fiber. The work dW = +/- QE (Joule) against the field can be determined the voltage gradient del V regardless of the path of charged polymer molecule. With aluminum plates, in the same physical and electrical conditions, thinner fiber could be obtained. Because copper is a better conductor surface charge density is higher than the surface of copper plates. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
