Radar equipment based on microwave interferometry has been employed to remotely survey the dynamic behaviour of the celebrated and historical towers of Florence, Italy. The measurement technique demonstrated in this paper results both as sensitive and accurate as the conventional technique, which is based on contact accelerometers, plus allows simple and rapid monitoring of structures even at great distances.
